Understanding the Role of Leaders in the new Governance Paradigm

The Institute of Directors – IoD (Kenya) is a membership organization of practicing and aspiring directors drawn from both the private and the public sectors. IoD (Kenya) exists to represent directors, advocate their interests and provide business leaders with enhanced professional capacity. Foremost among its goals is to professionalize the career of directors in all sectors of the economy.

This unique 5-day program is designed to provide directors, senior executives and leaders with an in-depth understanding of the new concepts and strategic issues underpinning leadership and governance. Discussions will be focused on the importance of leadership and good governance, the frameworks and models that can be used to implement best practices and the duties and responsibilities of leaders in executing sound leadership and governance practice. The program will be highly interactive and will involve case studies, group discussion and other activities.

  • The contemporary role of business leaders, newly emerging trends and practices in the dissemination of leadership and good governance; the Mwongozo Code, new Company’s Act 2015 and the Code of Corporate Governance Practices (CMA).

  • The governance of Information Technology, cybersecurity and Risk.

Seminar Fees

KES 150,000 - Exclusive of all Taxes, Members of the Institute of Directors are entitled to 12.5% discount. The seminar fees should be paid before 12th November 2018

Please note an early bird fee of 10% will apply for payments made by 5th November 2018.

Participants will meet their own transport and half board accommodation cost. The Institute has negotiated discounted rates for all participants.
